一、課程目標Course objectives:
本課程的內容包括敘述統計及推論統計兩大部分。主要的目的在介紹統計學的基本概念及培養統計分析的技能，以便用來解決與教育統計相關的問題。本課程的主要目標有以下幾點:
1. 提供學生有關教育統計的知識。
2. 使學生具有正確運用統計方法的正確觀念。
3. 經由教育統計的學習增進分析與批判的能力。
4. 利用教育統計的學習增進撰寫研究報告的能力。
5. 有基本使用套裝程式(SPSS)的技能。
二、師生晤談時間及地點Instructor office hours:週四 9:00-12:00 管院5089室
三、授課方式Teaching approach:講解、分組討論、練習
四、評量方式Grading criteria:
研究日誌(Research Journal) 10%:每週應至少寫一篇研究日誌，基本上跟日記差不多，但著重於對於上課內容的心得與反思。從第六週開始。繳交十篇。
文獻分析與批判（Critique of literature）20%
根據研究方向，分析兩篇量化論文之後，由實際詳細閱讀與評論論文，針對實驗設計、統計分析、邏輯思考、科學論證、論文寫作等各方面評析。
從第十二週後至第十七週前，繳交二篇(中文與英文期刊各一篇)。
隋堂作業 (Assignment) 50%
每星期課堂或課後之作業
